i have a 50'''''' lg plasma (1080p) and a ps3 hdmi cable for my playstation 3.. however, when i watch blu-ray movies, the picture is clearer than standard but not as crisp as it should be -- like the display models are in the stores for example. what could the problem be? do i need a different cable?

try adjusting your display settings like contrast, brightness, etc. it's not the cable.

there are settings on the ps3 as well. you may want to try using them to get a better picture. i know i've seen a setting for 480p, 720p and 1080p tv's. i doubt it's the cable.
calibrating the tv could hurt either. i've seen some calibration numbers of plasmas on this site http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/ it may help.
