pretty much half of my friends got a xbox, and half has a ps3. one of my friends made a lot of good points like how a xbox without online is nothing more than a brick and just as useless, but on Â'the other hand when psn is down the only thing u can not do is play online, they can still use the browser, dlcinchs, play blu ray games and play blu ray movies and download music and movies straight to the system for free on stagevu through the ps3 internet browser. if i remember right, the xbox canincht play blu ray even on their new consoles.

psn just got hacked like two days ago. peoples security, like their passwords, credit card information, is all at risk.
this is something you have to take in account with the playstation. its got access to the internet, which means viruses, and other jerks trying to hack into your account.
the xbox doesnt have that kind of a risk, and you do get netflix...
perosnally, i have an xbox, but my brother has a playstation and we love it.

if your going to be playing online, i would go with xbox, the xbl network is way better then psn.

i would only go ps3 if your actually going to use the blu ray player.

my friend bought a ps3 because he liked the blu ray better then just dvd that xbox has. turns out he watch 1 blu ray film over the past year and now he is stuck playing on a crappy network. so its your choice, depending on what you do with it.

p.s. i have an xbox and i love it.

the xbox 360 is way better then the ps3 i have both and the ps3 sucks. also the xbox 360 has more games like gears of war 3, fable, alan wake, crackdown 2, halo and lots of other games. the ps3 also has games that the xbox 360 doesnincht have but the xbox 360 has way more. get the xbox 360

the only thing better about a xbox 360 is xbox live because you pay for it so it should be better other than that xbox is nothing great they break eaisly poor graphics if you stand the dang thing up and try to play a game you have a ring around the disc and there goes that game no internet browser none of that ps3 is way better more reliable like you said stagevu for movies and you can get all the music you want blu ray disc are very hard to damage graphics look way better ps3 has its own exclusives like xbox uncharted infamous killzone and more and bluetooth can be used as a headset doesnt have to be sony brand if you could be patient about psn being down than i would get a ps3 its not going to be down forever

cruelly i have both and psn is better ya it's down but xbl was down for a whole month and you pay for it and they gave everyone free 5$ game wtf! and alan wake is for both consoles and halo and gears of war aren't as good as god of war infamous little big planet 1 and 2 uncharted and more but xbl is really laggy psn is better even tho you don't pay weird right? and when it comes back it will be even more better xbox has a long ways to go just to be compared to playstation
