i think that one of the best things about the ps3 is that they put a blu-ray player in it. this is a great way to get you ready for the future of movies. this will make dvd players go away someday just like the dvds did to the vcr. i was impressed with the quality and clarity of the blu ray technology when i first got my playstation 3.
what do you like about the ps3?

i like the ps3 because it plays blu ray movies and games as well. when i first heard about blu ray players i decided that i really wanted one, but it was so darn expensive. we had our ps2 for many years, so we knew that playstation 3 would be the right choice for us. now that the players have come down in price, i would definately consider getting a stand alone player.

also, playstation as always had a good variety of games. it beats out xbox 360 by a mile in my opinion.

i would have to agree with you. when i was thinking of purchasing a playstation 3, there were only a few blu ray players available, and they were the same price as a ps3 or even more. that was an easy choice for me to decide. my kids can have the luxury of their video games, and we can get high quality movies. the one thing i do not like is that the ps3 is so darn big. it is massive compared to the wii system. i was thrown away at first by the big price tag, but i am quite satisified with my purchase.

also, i was fortunate enough to get one of the early ps3 systems, so my system is backwards compatible with the ps2 games that we still own.

i was not so fortunate in getting a ps with backwards compatibility. i wanted to wait for one that had more storage space, for transferring video i had on my computer via flash drive onto my playstation 3. there are so many different games for the ps3 that i really do not miss the old ps2 games. you can still pick up new and used ps2 systems if you really wanted to.

i like the fact that this can play blu ray movies and ps3 games. sony is always on top of making there systems ready for what they like to call the next 10 years. i hope that the ps3 will keep coming out with some great games this year.

i like the fact that you can play blu ray movies as well as play some of the best video game that are on the market on your ps3. some of the other things that i like was the fact that it was backward compatible with the ps1 and ps2. i know that this was taken out of the new ps3's to save some money. the fact that you are getting something that will be good for the next 10 years is a plus as well.

i like that it keeps my whole family entertained. there is a nice game selection for the ps3 that everyone in my family has something to play, and we can watch movies on it. my husband has been experimenting with transferring pictures and video to it too lately.

well it looks like everyone has covered the best parts of the ps3. i am going to say the best thing about the ps3 is the psn. how can you not love something that gives you free online gaming. thre is no one else out there that has the good games that can say they are free. (xbox) why should you have to pay for something that is in the game in the first place.
