Question Looking to buy PS3 - 01-27-2009, 10:38 PM

i am looking to buy a ps3 and am wondering which one of them would be the best bet for me to get. i know that there are different price points but do i need to get the bigger one or will the smaller one be just fine for me. please give me some tips or why one is better then the other.

get the 160gb. if you are going to spend money on a consumer electronic item, you want to get the most for your money. it's better to have more storage space so that you do not run out. you can always upgrade the hard drive later, but save yourself the trouble and go with the bigger one.

i would just go with the cheaper verson now unless you are looking to get a game with it. if you are looking to get a game with the system then get the bigger one with the 160gb hard drive this will be more then the space that you will ever use in your ps3. the price is only $100 dollars difference as well. plus you get a game and a free download of a game from the psn.

how much do you want to store on it? if you plan on using it a lot, think of it as a good investment and go for the bigger one.

well there is no real difference in the systems but if you would like to get the extra game and the bigger hard drive then you are good to go with the 160gb one. if you know how to upgrade your hard drive then the small one would be just fine. there is only a $100 dollar difference so it does not really matter.

i would go with the bigger one you will be a lot more happy with more space then just the 80gb one. that and you get to have 2 free games to go with it.

i would have to say that the 160gb one would be the one that would get. it is 100 bucks more for the double the size hard drive and 2 free games to go with it why not get the bigger one.

i am going to go with the most of you and say the 160gb ps3 would be the way to go for the extra 100 bucks. the hard drive is the biggest reason to go with this one, you will not need to upgrade your hard drive with this one as well.

thank you everyone for such helpful information. we are going this upcoming weekend to get one for the family, we will probably end up getting one with a larger hard drive off the bat. thanks again!
