How Do I Upgrade my PS3 Hard Drive -

i have been looking into this for some time now and was wondering if someone could help me out. i have seen that there are some people out there that have changed there hard drive to as big as 500gb. i would love to get more space into mine because i only have 60gb in mine. i would also like to know if i will be able to keep my info that is on the one i have right now.
i have yet to do this to mine but may have to soon with only having a 60gb drive in it. i wish that the ps3 had come with a bigger hard drive but it does not seem to be that hard to put a new one in here is a link to help you change the one you have.
may i ask why you want to upgrade that big? i have a 80gb ps3 and i find that more than enough. i am not a techie so unfortunately i cannot help you on this one. i would say get a second one for another room and have double the storage space.
i would say that you would not need to upgrade your hard drive unless you are going to be downloading a lot of movies to your hard drive or a lot of games off the psn. if this is the case then why not upgrade your ps3.
i have the 60gb ps3 and have never even come close to using up the space on it. if i was getting close to using up all of my space then i would think about it. i would want to know that i would be able to still keep everything that i have on my current drive as well. does anyone know if you do get to keep your old ps3 info? there must be a way to transfer it.
