the guitar hero world tour has sold a whopping 3.4 million units so far. rock band is at 1.7 million units. that would by the looks of it make guitar hero a much better selling set. they are not saying this is true because of the way store report there numbers. so this does not show how the two are going at it head to head. here is a link to the article for you.
those numbers are not really that big of a surprise to me. i would think that there is a much bigger following for the guitar hero games then the rock band ones. there are way more guitar hero games out as well.
i am with you downtown there are a lot more games out for the guitar hero games so that would only make sense that they would be selling more games then rock band right. even if they say that the number are not that accurate in the race of who is selling more. how that can be i don't know.
this just goes to show you that guitar hero is that much better then rock band is. i will not take anything away from rock band but the numbers don't lie. guitar hero is a better game and will all ways be that way.
i am not surprised at this by any means. this is a great game, and it really appeals to the whole family. i was impressed by the selection of songs on this game, and it has a lot more than any other edition.
well well well it looks like the guitar hero game is kicking the crap out of rock band. that really is good news because now the guitar hero guys can stop trying to be more like the rock band game. they are guitar hero not band hero.
can you imagine how many more the next title will sell? we are in a poor economy right now, and it is only going to get better from here. i think that world tour sold as much as they did because of the full band kit, and the fact that there is almost 90 songs already on it. no game has that many on it except world tour.
