i had netflix video service for about two months. i was not happy with it because the video quality was terrible. it looked like really bad cell phone jpeg images. and then my home theater system does not switch to 5.1 or 7.1 it stays at 2.1. and you can't say my internet connection was poor because i don't have cable or satellite, i have fiber with 25 mbps download and 15 mbps upload.
so now i want to look at other options like amazon video on demand and i think there are many from video stores. but i need to know the metrics of the quality before i subscribe.
how do people measure the quality?
if there were ''''''something like blue ray'''''', ''''''something like dvd'''''', ''''''something like vhs'''''', ''''''something like web cam'''''' as reference points in the quality scale i would rate netflix ''''''something like vhs''''''. but this is not an exact measurement and i am not looking for an answer like this.
