ok, so i have a lgld350 32 (http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video/televisions/lg-lcd-tv-32ld350.jsp) and i was wondering how i would get the sound to go from my tv to rca's to connect them to 2 car amps powering a sub and set of speakers for a custom home theater.

you cannot. that tv has optical output which is 6 channels of sound digitally encoded.

you need a dolby digital av receiver which will accept that input and decode the 6 channels of sound to speaker level outputs and a lfe/subwoofer output.

but now you have another problem. you have cobbled together some old car gear to create a stereo system (2 channels) but you are trying to amplify 6.

see the problem?

my best advice is you just look on craigslist for a older but name-brand av receiver. they have been making these for 15 years and you can get some great gear for $100.
