is this enough for me?
i need to connect it to a ps3. if i remember correctly, i connected a 5.1 headset i had through an optical cable and not hdmi. this only has 1 optical and 1 hdmi? would this be ''''''enough'''''' if all i wanted to do was connect it to a tv that has basic channels(1-100) and a ps3?

so optical for ps3 and hdmi for tv? or vice versa? how would this work?

you can use the optical out for the audio and then go into the playstations setting and choose the video out and the audio out settings. or you can plug the ps3 into the home theater with the hdmi and use a ypbpr component cable to connect the home theater to the tv, that way u get both hd audio and video out from the ps3 and into the tv/home theater surround.

does the hdmi input support audio if so connect the hdmi cable to the amp and connect the hdmi out to the tv that way you´ll be enjoying both audio and video from the ps3 with little clutter.
