what is the best place for watching a movie and why, at home in your home theater or go to cinema which larger screen

for me it depends on the movie i guess but there's not been anything worth going to the cinema for lately.

at home at least you have control

i wouldn't wanna watch transformers 2 at home, i'll go to most advanced movie theater.. that's for sure!

i like to go to the movie theater for the experience of big releases, but i love my home theater and think it sounds better but as said not same experience for big releases like upcoming transformers, star trek etc..

it is really hard to compare the two because they are two separate set up.
if you want something cozy and not crowded, then home set up is definitely way to go, but if you want to experience the movie with other people then definitely going to see a movie has its own pros.

i got a question, i am going to be taking a trip from alaska to st. louis and back in june driving my car. my question is does any one know how to find really nice theaters? i have tried searching on line and it hasn't been too fruitfull yet. i don't want just a chain that is usually nice, im looking for an actual location of a theater that is above the norm as in giant screen other than imax, insaine audio, or something else that sets it apart from others.

it depends really, i really love going to the theaters, but i love watching movies at home as well. i can't choose.

im for sure going to see star trek, termenator, transformers 2 and wolverine in the theater.
