i have been wondering for a while now if i should have my husband get some fans to keep all of the home theater system stuff cooler. i have heard that this has been a something that has made some ps3's fail as well. i am up for any kind of suggestions that you guys may have. do you guys fave any kind of fan set keeping your system cool?
i will say that if you think that your system is running hot or does not get the air flow that you need then yes you should get a fan to help keep it cool. i have heard way to many times of systems and going bad because they did not get the air flow they needed. if you have a enclosed case for your equipment then you should get one. here is a place that sells kits to help keep your stuff cool.
my home theater isn't big enough to need a cooler yet, but as we build a better one, we may have to invest in one, our ps3 does get very hot though.
ya the ps3 does get hot but if it's not in a closed spot it should be fine. i bought a fan for the ps3 and it sucks it causes interferance, i like the link above for a fan that goes in the case that you may have your equipment in thats a cool option.
i don't think we need an extra fan to cool the equipment. because most of the heat that gets generated from ps3 gets radiated within no time. you need to use only if it is a closed room and no proper ventilation is available in the room..
