i have been looking to buy a home theater system for my new 50 inch tv. what would be a nice system for me to pick up to make this the best sound system around? i would like to keep the price of the system around or under $500.

for me cost is the main consideration (anything below 300 is fine) plus the sound system quality.

what is a good home theater system is a big question and involves so many aspects. price range is just insaine what is expensive to one person is dirt cheap to another. when choosing a system and taking advice from others it is important to keep in mind what is important to you and what is important to the one giving the advice. also what lvl is this importance to either person, meaning if you say audio quality is the most important thing well 300-500 is not even going to begin to scratch the surface. so it's all in contex to the individual for these reaons. but it is sure helpfull hearing others opinions to help get you in some direction and to see what your getting into.
