Default What size tv is good for a 12x10 bedroom? - 09-14-2011, 11:23 PM

i currently have a 15'''''' 5 year old lcd tv. i cannot find any universal remote to work on it and the buttons on it don't work so its really hard turning the channel. so im looking to buy a new lcd tv. i don't mind having a 15''''''(before that i had a 32'''''') because it has a good picture., but i would want one maybe a bit bigger to play my ps3 on. i don't have a ton of money to spend. my rooms 12x10. what size do you think would be best?
thanks

i would say 27 or 32, the room isn't terribly large so you don't want overkill, but at the same time you want to see comfortably. bj's and costco usually have good prices. or check out best buy for open box specials.

honestly 32'''''' seems like the perfect size, but i wouldn't go over 35'''''' because it stretches out the picture and makes it look like crap

i'd go for a 32 at least..... you don't want to be laying in bed squinting to a small tv picture 6 to 8 feet away...

you should pick a hi-def tv. if you really want

to know the best options and size you should use amazon's hdtv simplified tool. it explains

everything about hdtv in simple terms. it also has a slider to use

while you are shopping to make sure you get the best tv for your room and viewing pleasure.

consumer reports judged tv's based on reliability,

price, and overall performance. listed best to worst:

1. panasonic
2. lg
3. hp
4. mitsibushi
5. sharp
6. jvc
7. philips
8. hitachi
9. dell

i would suggest sony bravia m-series kdl-32m4000 lcd hdtv. it has great sound and was easy to set-up. looks nice, too. with a cheap antenna. great contrast, color, and brightness.fantastic digital processor.this model has a a little better contrast than the l series and pip capability, this unit is very good without hd. sound is quite adequate and the picture is also nice.
