kind of vague question. there are lots of good television sets. just depends on your budget mostly.

pioneer kuro is considered among a lot to be one of the best hd diplay for watching movies.

in my opinion, these are the best hd tvs so far.. panasonic tc-pv10 series , panasonic tc-pg10 series , samsung pnb650 series , samsung lnb750 series and lg lh90 series .. well, what do you say?

i think best one is the one fits into your room and your budget together.
you need to watch tv's together in a media market and decide by checking contrast, viewing angle, tearing, colors, refresh rate etc.. if you like to watch sports, look at the performance with a sport competition on it.

you can compare prices on an online website and performances in a retail market.

up until a month ago i would have voted for pioneer kuro but then i saw sony's x4500-serie with led backlight which was pretty sweet...however, my budget limited my purchase to a samsung lcd-screen :-)
