panasonic has released sc-btx70, blu-ray player/surround sound/ipod dock unit. the unit includes a blu-ray player, a 7.1 virtual surround sound system and ipod/iphone dock. the downside of the unit is the overall price. priced between $700-$1000, the unit is not on the cheap side. you could purchase a blu-ray player, 7.1 channel system, and ipod dock for about the same price and get better components.

thanks for the review of panasonic player. i've ordered one and yet to test it. i hope that it comes with all options in the advertisements. i feel that the price is somewhat higher.
