| Blu-ray Problem? Audio to Picture Sync Issue. PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME!? -

hello. i have a magnavox 19inch 720p lcd tv hooked up (via hdmi cable) to a samsung bd-d5700za blu-ray player. initially, i have had no problems at all with this setup. yet recently (the past 2 to 3 weeks) this setup would act up. i will be watching a blu-ray (specifically the extended cut disc of sucker punch) and it will all of a sudden (sometimes gradually, other times sort of abruptly) go out of sync! the audio before the picture, or the picture before the audio. what's interesting is that it is not in the same place every time. plus, this disc has never acted up in the past. i would say (recently) that after every 10 to 15 minutes of watching it, the audio slowly goes out of sync. sometimes this can be fixed by fast forwarding for a couple seconds, which somehow causes it to get back on track. yet that seems to be a temporary remedy.
here are my current theories of the cause of this: 1. this disc seems to be holding a lot more content then my other blu-rays, so the player has to ''''''work harder.'''''' 2. i have the blu-ray player set to the 720p output as opposed to the full 1080p, because that is all my tv can handle, so maybe that may affect the reading of the disc. 3. a recent bad firmware update messed me up.
are any of my theories valid/correct? please explain my issue if you can. i would love to fix it. is it the tv? the player? the cable? even the disc(s)?
