Default Sony Blu Ray player connecting to internet? - 09-05-2011, 10:46 PM

the model is bdp-s480. we can connect to the internet but how do i? i don't have a wireless router but a home computer with motorola modem with at&t. i have an extra ethernet cable( <this one came from at&t but it was too short so we bought a long one) the modem already has one ethernet cable to the computer & it doesn't have an extra output for another ethernet cable. so exactly how (or where) do we connect the ethernet cable from blu ray player? thanks!

the easiest way is to get a wired broadband router, you may also be able to use a switchbox run through your computer but your computer would always have to be on in order to access the internet and you may have trouble configuring the blu ray for internet connection to various sites....
