i know this is a little outdated but i was wondering which should i get. they say the ps3 has better games, blu ray player, and free online including the move. xbox has the kinect, better graphics, good controller, and good online play. could someone please help me with this choice.

who are they?

the one that has better games is really subjective. as far as graphics go the 360 usually has better graphics on pc ports and is better at anti-aliasing(meaning less jagged edges around things) but the ps3 has more power and some of their 1st party games look amazing.

i'd say look at the game selection and choose based on that. if you don't care for the exclusives of either stick with 360 since its 3rd party games usually turn out better.

microsoft only has 4 strong titles left; halo, gears, forza, and fable.. we can't expect too much else from them in the next couple of years. microsoft is already planning on announcing their next console at e3 next year. on the other hand, there are over 20 exclusive titles coming to the ps3 in 2011 alone, that include sucks greats as;

uncharted 3
killzone 3
resistance 3
gran turismo 5
infamous 2
socom 4
white knight chronicles 2
twisted metal
starhawk
final fantasy vs xlll
yakuza 4
the last guardian
motorstorm apocalypse
dust 514

which console has better graphics is debatable. if we're talking about multi-platform games from a couple years ago, the 360 has a slighty advantage. when it comes to exclusive titles for each console, the ps3 wins hand down because it can display in true 1080p high definition. compare any 360 exclusive to uncharted 2-3, or killzone 3, and you'll see what i mean. microsoft may have the kinect, but sony has the move controller which is easily incorporated into ''''''mainstream'''''' titles. the only thing kinect is good for are the games made specifically for it. xbox live has a couple features that the playstation network does not, but not enough to warrant paying $60/year in my opinion.

that is really a matter of opinion.

the ps3 does have the blu-ray player and free online, as well as the psone classics collection, containing classic games like metal gear solid and final fantasy vii.

the xbox 360, being created by microsoft, has a lot of games that are only obtainable over steam if you don't have one. and if you like first person shooters/kinectimals and actually think graphics are important to gameplay, you should get one.

the wii is a great console in its own special way. it has new installments to 20+ year old series' (mario, zelda, metroid, donkey kong, and kirby). as well as a large virtual console library featuring games from classic nintendo systems, as well as the master system genesis/mega drive, turbo-graphix-16, and neo-geo.
