|  PS3 Questions? Can You Play on a Laptop? -

i recently got a ps3 and cod: black ops with it. right now i'm planning on establishing an internet connection to my ps3 so i can play online. the only problem is that i don't have wifi, but i do have a router that i can use to get internet with with the ethernet cables. the router is upstairs in a room while my ps3 and the t.v. are downstairs. i found out that my computer has an hdmi slot, which my ps3 also has. i also stumbled across a folder on my computer called ''''''playstation tools'''''' which has two options, one: you can plug in your ps3 and play on the keyboard, and two, you can plug in your ps3 and do remote play, which i am suspecting is being able to use your computer. so is it possible for me to use a hdmi cable and plug it in with my ps3 and my laptop, and then plug in the ethernet cable into my ps3, and be able to play online with my controller with my laptop acting as the screen? and someone also please tell me if ''''''remote play'''''' means you can play with your controller while having your laptop as your screen. thanks!
by the way, my laptop is a brand-new sony vaio with windows 7 and a blu-ray player.
