Default Samsung BD-D5100 Blu Ray Player firmware? - 08-06-2011, 03:18 PM

i don't know what to do anymore, all i want is to update my firmware so i can use allshare.
when i try to update through the internet from the player it says

''''''model information in upgrade file does not match with your player. check and retry.''''''

on samsung's site there are no firmware updates for the bd-d5100 only the p5100.
does anyone have any advice?

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/bd-d5100
and if you go to the download page, http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/bd-d5100 they have your allshare feature. 35 meg download.

your manual should have directions on how to update the firmware without doing it over the internet. the above links also have the manual

you can call the manufacturer service support center and see what they say. it might be that the movie you purchased have a defect. i still use my first generation panasonic blu ray disc player model bd-10 which is 4 years old and never failed playing over 300 movies of blu ray. hope this will help you out.
