hi all,

i'm robin and i'm new to the forums and i wanted to say hi to all and to also pose a question to you all.

i have a sony blu-ray player. however, i want to connect it to the net and also to add some external memory to it. however, something tells me this is going to be difficult.

at present, i have a bt home hub and we use this as a wireless solution to connect several computers in the house to the internet but when i tried my blu ray player, it didn't work. however, i did some research and i promptly discovered i need an ethernet cable to attach to the hub or bridge the wireless connection so that the blu ray player can connect to the internet.

however the hub is downstairs and i am upstairs so a cable extension for ethernet is not really suitable imo. someone suggested wireless bridging.

does anyone have any ideas how i can add some memory to the blu ray player to take advantage of bd live but at the same time be able to connect to the internet as well through my blu ray player?

any help greatly appreciated.

regards

rob

unless and until you mention the details of your blu-ray player and the wireless router, one can't provide you a solution for this. the technical details vary with different players and there is no single method to make them work for you.
