i have a samsung p1400 blu-ray player. when i play blu-rays, i have to dumb the player down to 720p resolution or the player locks up after a while. even at 720p, ofeten you get about 50 minutes into the movie and the player simply locks up. i recently took the cover off and the player works better although the heat sink on the chip gets vey, very hot. the fan i workig, but seems woefully under powered. i am thinking of cutting another hle in the case and relocating the fan so that it actually draws air over the heat sink. has anybody else experienced a similar problem?

see if you can upgrade to latest firmware. burn the latest firmware onto a cd then upgrade the firmware.

people have been reporting success with a new firmware update.
