i have been looking around for sometime now and have been wondering if i can get a blu ray player to work on my tv even if i don't have a hdmi cable spot on my tv. does anyone out there know if this will work for me? i would love to get a blu ray player and be ready for when i get a new tv but was wondering if it would work or not. thanks guys for your help.
i don't think you absolutely need one, but you will get better resolution with one. you will be able to get 720p or 1080p when you do have a hdmi cable. i would recommend it though, you will really notice the difference.
this is true you do not have to have a hdmi cable to make it work for most blu ray players. the hdmi cable will make your picture look about a million times better when you do have the option to upgrade to this item. watch for deals on hdmi cables i have seen some go as low as like 5 bucks.
they are right most blu ray players will come with the standerd audio video cables and will work just fine. the quilty of the shows will not be as good with just these cables. the hdmi cable will make your blu ray movies much better.
