there have been unofficial rumors that star trek will be coming to blu ray for the first time ever. they will be coming in sets, about the same time that star trek - the original series, season one will be released. while a date has not been set yet, the official announcement should be coming soon. i think that this is great! i love that they are bringing some oldies onto blu ray. it makes switching my old collection of dvds to blu ray a lot easier.

this is one of the good old shows. the old movies need to get updated to blu ray because this makes them look so much better then just the standard dvd. i think that star trek to blu ray is a vary smart idea. star trek is on of the most famous tv shows ever so why would you not bring it to the future of blu ray.

i hope it does come to blu ray, its an absolute classic in my opinion. i am sure they will box them up in sets of three, it only makes sense. wonder what the price point will be on them as well, just because they might add a bunch of special features to them. oh well, we will just have to wait until they release more information. thanks!

i agree that it is about time this becomes available on blu ray. there are so many shows that need to be re-released on blu ray, but they are finally starting to really come through. i agree sunshine, they will probably box them up together and add some special features. thanks for sharing this wonderful info!
