i don't have cable in my bedroom, which i don't mind, and i've been hearing a lot of ''''''3rd tier junk'''''' crap about certain brands. i want a cheap 22-24 inch 1080p tv from walmart and i need suggestions! what brand should i get?
which would be best for blu-ray movies and xbox 360 only. forget cable, just movies and gaming.

rca is not a real brand. if you pay $15,000 to a company in korea you can slap the rca logo onto any piece of crap electronics and sell it, then go out of business.

of the 3 - vizio is actually trying to be a decent brand. they sometimes have large numbers of returns/failures, but some units work great for months and years. (we had 2 in our office lobby that are going strong every day after 18 months).

just be warned - there is no ability to repair a vizio. when it breaks - you have to toss it and buy a new television.

also - you might be able to pick up hdtv for free with an indoor antenna. type your address into www.antennaweb.org to see a map of the tv towers and what size and type of antenna you need to get different channels.

good luck.

both brands are a bargain price tv and they have a poor quality and reliability. keep in mind that you are not going to see any difference between 720p and 1080p in screen smaller than a 46'. the only source for 1080p is the blu ray disc movies and some ps3 video games. wlamart sell the low price tv from other manufacturer if they carry the brand like samsung or sony. panasonic and samsung are the top brand for quality and reliability. costco would be a good place to buy a bargain price tv, due to they provide you and extra year of warranty without any cost. hope this will help you out.
