|  How do I fix my PS3 video input issue? -

a few days ago i got a brand new 160g ps3 from amazon. it has been playing games fine, but today when we attempted to play a blu ray movie in it the display flashed blue, appeared to try to load the movie, then came up with a 'no signal' screen. three more attempts, the same result.
the ps3 is hooked up with an hdmi cable to the samsung 1080p tv to which all 5 of our ps3s (past and present) have been hooked to without issue. it is running on the hdmi input. i read somewhere that this problem could be solved by resetting the display on the ps3 by way of holding down the power button and following the on-screen prompts. i completed this step and the issue persisted.
is there something else i can do to fix this or am i sol with yet another non-functional ps3 on my hands?
sorry, i did not specify, i thought it implied - the tv was displaying the ps3 menu prior to the selection of the movie and was on the correct input.
as stated, holding down the power button and following that route does not produce the desired results.
