Default Want to buy TV for GAMING and BLURAY MOVIES, don’t know which? - 08-08-2011, 06:58 AM

as the title says, i'm looking to buy a new television. i mostly going to use it for gaming on my ps3, and to watch blu ray movies. the range in size i am looking for is about 40''''''. my budget is around $1,300.

i have had my eye on the samsung series 5 led tv 40'''''', but i don't know a lot about these things. please help

(i am going to be playing/watching in a lit room, so led would probably appeal to me more than plasma)

the samsung un40b7000 40'''''' lcd tv with edge-lit led backlighting is part of the 2009 unb7000 series which also come in 46'''''' and 55'''''' models. it features samsung touch of color design in piano black with amber in an ultra-slim design with a depth of 1.2''''''. the unb7000 series features more connectivity options than the unb6000 series offering yahoo widgets, flickr, youtube, streaming content from dlna-compatible devices as well as the usb ports, and a built-in content library. it has 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 120hz refresh rate, 4 hdmi inputs, 2 usb ports, 1 pc input, 1 ethernet port, pip capability and claims to use 40% less power than traditional lcd tvs.
