i have a 58'''''' pn58b550 samsung hd tv, and i keep reading online that you can hook up a hard drive and play blu-ray movies. it recognizes my hard drive, and opens up the integrated media center but it says that there are no movie files present. is there some sort of update or firmware that i need to download? or codecs or something?

all i have on the hard drive are .mkv files, and everyone says how cool it is that their tv can play blu-ray files. what the heck? do i need to do something with allshare, or the internet feature that's on the tv?

blu ray movied come only one way legitmately, on blu-ray discs. you play thme on a blu-ray player, period. they do not legally come downloadable from the internet.
