| Mitsubishi CRT HDTV Screen Problem? -

the model of this tv is ws-65619. i've owned this tv for about 10 years and has been moderately used as my primary home theater tv. however, i've noticed after a few minutes of viewing, the projection turns instantly into this color spectrum distortion (blue, red and green colors visible) that particularly stretches past the corners of the screen; the middle one-third of the screen stays virtually normal and undisturbed. at times, the screen randomly and instantly reverts back to the normal image, but the problem usually happens within 5 minutes again. i mainly use this tv to watch dish network and occasionally a blu-ray movie; both at 1080i. i've tried diagnosing the problem by using a different source (such as a vcr), but it appears the tv has the problem even without a source plugged in. the screen is still bright, so i don't know if the lamp is necessarily dying out, but i'd be willing to check that. someone please help me, as mitsubishi's customer service only refers me to a technician with no explanation. thanks for helping!
