walt disney home entertainment studios announced today that bolt will be released on blu ray two days before it's major release on dvd. the really cool part about this is that this edition will have a ton of special features on it. some of the special features will be:

deleted scenes
bolt art gallery
bd - live with a movie challenge.

i do like that a lot of the blu ray copies always have so many more special features.

i think this is going to be the way for a lot of new releases. this is there way to weed out dvds. if you want the movie in your hands right away, you are going to want the blu ray copy, and a player if you do not have one already. they have come down in price quite a bit so the player itself is a lot more reasonable.

sounds like something disney would do. my kids love all the disney movies, but you can never find them on sale, so the price really adds up. i do like that they are one of the only animated films that are available for blu ray, no one else has really caught on. it won't be very long until everyone finally catches up. we will have to get this when it is released!

this is great now i can see the movie before all the people that have yet to hope on the blu ray band wagon. blu ray is the way to go because there is no competing with the size of space that the blu ray disc has on it. this extra size makes for some many extras that can be put onto the blu ray disc. i just love playing all the extra games that come with the blu ray copies of movies as well.

i hope that this will be the normal soon where the blu ray will come out first. this would be a great way for the blu ray to take off and start to over take the dvd world sooner. the blu ray movies have so much more to offer as well over the normal dvd. i can't wait for this to become the way of the blu ray.

i hope this becomes something that will start to happen with more blu ray movies. if they start to do this with more of the hit movies as they are coming out the blu ray players will pickup in sales faster. the price drops in the blu ray players will help this as well.
