Default Madagascar Review - 01-22-2009, 12:09 PM

if you have not seen the movie madagascar, this is one show for the whole family. it is cute, funny, and will surely be a classic for years to come.

madagascar is a movie with a journey. alex the lion, gloria the hippo, melmin the giraffe, and marty the zebra live in a new york zoo. they have been there their whole lives, and marty decides that he is tired of the same scenery day after day. he gets all four of them out of the zoo in attempt to escape out of town.

their escape is unsuccessful, and they end up on what they think is a deserted island. they are in madagascar.

the four characters are quite hilarious. children love this movie because of the bright colors and catchy tunes. pixar has done a great job of this film, making it a hit for the whole family. this is a great show for everyone though, not just for children.

if you have seen madagascar before, what did you think of the film?

madagascar is definately a hit in my household. i think that animated films on blu ray are so much better because of the bright colors and clarity. we just purchased a 50'''''' vizio plasma screen for the family room with 1080dp and it looks wonderful. now our problem is the kids watching too much television. excellent review, we have watched this movie several times and it is truly a keeper.

i think that madagascar is one of the better children's movies that have come out on blu ray. i have noticed that they are slow to put cartoons and kids show out on blu ray, probably because parents do not want to spend that kind of money on a movie for their kids. most of the disney movies though have come out on blu ray when they have been recently released which is nice.

but, the problem with disney movies is that they put them in the ''''''vault'''''' and don't re-release them for another seven years. so, you may have to wait awhile before you can get your favorite classic on blu ray.

i love the movie madagascar and so do my kids. this movie is so funny with all of the animals that my kids love in it. the blu ray verson has so many extras for the kids to play around with as well. i can't wait for madagascar 2 to come out to blu ray so that i can pick it up for the family.
