20th century fox home entertainment has announced that the sequel to darko dtv will be coming out to blu-ray. it will be released on april 28th, 2009, the same day that the dvd edition will be coming out. the video will be presented in 1080p avc accompanied by a 5.1 dts-hd master audio soundtrack. there is no word yet that there will be any special features included on the blu ray, but they typically will have something on it.

will this be one you will add to your collection?

probably not, i have actually never heard of it. if it hasn't been a big hit, usually i will not have to look into it. it is always good to hear about second editions coming out though.

anyway donnie darko: collector's edition gonna be released next tuesday and i've got mine pre-ordered.

i'm very excited about this one. never seen the directors cut so i'd like to form my own opinion on that one. hopefully there are plenty of quality, hd supplements.
