Default can i burn a blu ray disc using a standard dvd burner? - 06-20-2011, 07:23 PM

i have lite scribe dvd burner thats like 3 years old... any chance i can burn hd 1080p video on a blu ray disc using this burner?

no due to its a blu-ray disc and you will need a blu-ray burner

short answer is no.

however you can still burn hd quality video on a smaller sized disk or maybe a number of disks in this case normal dvd's.

all dvd's are backwards compatible and work on standard blue ray drives.

surprisingly most blue ray movies are only using 50 percent of the disc space and a standard dvd would have done the job - alas there is customer perception that blue ray disk is higher quality what really matters is what is burned on the disk not the disk itself.

hi friend, i have to say no because the standard dvd burner is not suitable for burning blu ray discs. to burn a blu-ray disc, you need to use a professional blu-ray burner (like this one: http://www.blu-ray-software.net/blu-ray-creator/). only blu ray burner could help burn bluray disc, bluray folder or bluray iso file. dvd burner can only burn dvd discs, dvd folders or dvd iso file. have fun.

hello,dear, i do not think so . the blu-ray disc can only be played in a blu-ray driver
