brought a brand new dvd player.every thing is okay but some problems with playing the r1 dvdr.other regions are fine with it.the problem is color pictures appearing black and white in case of r1.
it's a sony dvd player, i am from india.

guess what?

region 1 is ntsc, and india uses pal.

most likely, you won't be able to play region 1 discs satisfactorily.

maybe a multistandard tv would help.
