i just want to make this clear, i own monsters vs aliens in 3d but don't want the disk getting too scratched up. can someone please let me know if i bought any blu ray burner for my computer with a normal blu ray disk, would i be able to make a backup of my 3d movie?

i believe a bd writer would cost more than buying the movie again (about $20?) .

how many times do you plan to watch that movie? 20? 50? 100? then $1 or less watch is not a bad investment.

do you also backup books you buy :-) illegal copying is not cool.

it's okay to burn movies but as long as you don't plan to sell then or distribute them. if you plan to burn, for back up purposes which is okay.

man, illegal copying is obviously not cool. but he just want to keep the dvd from being scratched
