Default Help! Power DVD 9 Ultra/Acer 1810TZ/Optiarc BC-5500S - 11-12-2009, 11:50 AM

i'm trying to play blu ray disks using sony optiarc bc-5500s usb bd rom and power dvd 9 ultra edition on my acer 1810tz which has intel gma 4500m chipset. os is windows 7.

i get the error message 'your disc drive does not support the playback for this content' when trying to play any blu ray discs.

the cyberlink bd advisor says the graphics card is capable of playback but the driver is not, despite the fact that it is the latest driver.

any ideas?

it seems like there is some problem with this drive. if you just bought it, i'd look for another blu ray drive. otherwise, i think you are stuck waiting on firmware update to fix this problem. see if there is firmware update for the drive.
