Question What Size Monitor is the Best for Watching Blu Ray - 01-24-2009, 10:14 PM

i have a 17 inch monitor right now but the resolution is not that great. what would be the best size monitor for me to get? should it be a 1080p monitor? the price tag on the 1080p ones is much higher but is it worth it? any kind of help would be great.

i would say that anything over a 20 inch monitor is going to be fine for watching blu ray movies on. i would say for if the price is right to for sure get the 1080p monitor. the way this will look for you on a 1080p monitor is better then you will ever imagine.

i will agree with geek you really do not need anything more then a 20 inch monitor. the extra money for the 1080p is not really necessary unless the price is good and not that much more then a 720 one. don't spend the extra money if you do not need to.

how much do you want to spend? if you plan on using it a lot for watching videos, then it is really worth the money. it really all depends on how much you think you will use it. i don't think it is worth spending the extra money unless you plan on using it a ton. i would rather put that money into a new television, or upgrade my home theater system.
