with the economic downturn, it's no surprise that consumers aren't willing to pony up extra money for 3d hdt and blu-ray players. a market research conducted by in-stat shows that majority of the consumers who are interested in 3d are only willing to pay $200 in premium for the technology. more accurately, the 25% of the people interested in buying 3d tv or blu-ray discs are unwilling to spend any extra money while another 43% are only willing to spend $200. this should give manufacturers some idea on how they should price their 3d technology. |
